Do you charge extra to come out to Tilehurst?
No. Tilehurst, Calcot and Purley are inside our standard zone, so prices are identical to central Reading: £85 call-out with the first hour included, fixed prices on standard jobs. The A329/Oxford Road run takes us about 15 minutes off-peak.
Can you replace the hot water cylinder in a 1930s Tilehurst semi?
Yes — it’s one of our most common Tilehurst jobs. The airing-cupboard cylinders in the interwar semis around School Road and Norcot Road are often original vented units; we swap them for modern insulated cylinders, or convert to an unvented system for mains-pressure showers, usually within a day.
Do you cover the new-build estates at Calcot too?
We do. New builds bring their own list — plastic push-fit teething problems, poorly clipped pipes knocking under floors, and snagging that developers never quite finish. We’re happy to be your post-warranty plumber.
